3D Artist of the MonthCINDY MILLS | May
Cindy is a Bundjalung artist living and working on Kabi Kabi country for most of her life.
She grew up on the Sunshine Coast and after moving around the state for work and family reasons, settled back into the Noosa region around 6 years ago. Cindy mainly work with clay, making sculptural forms and functional objects but also does a lot of printmaking. Her art is inspired by the ocean environment and the animals, birds and shells that live in and around it. Her sculptural forms are mostly unglazed as she prefers to work with the natural colours and textures of the clay. The sea urchin and sand dollar are recurring motifs in her work as is the dove and fish. |
